  • Think Global, Act Local

During my time at NetWings, I became empowered to travel around the world with a purpose of attending global conferences and events and implementing what I had newly learned to address local issues in my community.

    A Student Reflection

    Upskilling

During my time at NetWings, I learned that upskilling is equally important to youth. Through an enhanced curriculum, I learned how to build my skills in a way that aligns with changing employer needs and an increasingly technology centered workforce.

    A Student Reflection

    Perspective

During my time at NetWings, I developed an empathy and global perspective related to a plethora of social, economic, and cultural topics. This perspective has empowered me as a global citizen.

    A Student Reflection

    Case Studies

During my time at NetWings, I had the opportunity to develop a Case Study from start to finish. Written by students for students, our Cases are a friendly and interactive way to break down complex information in a way that youth can feel comfortable engaging in.

    A Student Reflection

    Cross Cultural Exchange

During my time at NetWings, I engaged daily in 1:1 cross cultural exchange experiences with people from all over the world, speaking various languages, with different beliefs, working in varying sectors. This has prepared me with the emotional intelligence and cultural competencies to lead within an increasingly multifaceted workforce.

    A Student Reflection

    Social Capital

At NetWings, our horizons expand overnight by learning the importance of cultivating social capital through newly developed global friendships and opportunities.

    Innovation

During my time at NetWings, I was exposed to global innovation ranging in topics from the Black Market of the USD in Argentina to the Syrian Refugee Crisis in Germany to the use of technology to bridge the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Serving as a strategist for these topics has been an incredible experience to leverage for my internships.

Who are we and what issue(s) do we address?

NetWings is a global non profit organization. We are committed to addressing the increasingly wide social capital gap that is prevalent within diverse, underrepresented youth communities around the world.

How do we solve this issue?

We address the social capital gap by traveling with diverse student delegations around the world, championing social mobility and global exposure through our tailored global curriculum and upskilling programming. Through this work, we help youths around the world to build perspective, develop heightened cultural understanding, and strengthen global workforce competencies as active global citizens.

Why does this make a difference?

Our motivation is that this collective engagement of early exposure experiences will equip youths with the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly global world. Through our work, we hope to democratize the participation of youths working in several professional arenas that are often considered 'too complex' for youths to engage in.

How do we balance being global and local?

We empower our students to think globally and act locally. By equipping students with the international experiences and networks to nurture their new learnings, we aim for this connection to serve as an impetus for youths around the world to work together and create local solutions to shared global issues.
